Yuba River Charter School
Yuba River Charter School endeavors to develop free human beings who are able to impart meaning and direction to their lives. We are a community of teachers and families uniting to inspire a love of life and learning for the whole child for the whole world.
Our mission is to provide a Waldorf-methods curriculum to kindergarten through 8th-grade students using a child development model that nurtures the head, heart, and hands of each individual. The social life of our community is supported by class teachers who stay with their students as they progress through the grades, as well as by festivals and school performances. The curriculum is inspired by the arts and integrates them throughout the day, imparting a sense of dignity to each subject. Our school strives to maintain a balance between physical movement and intellectual work.
